3 C's of life

We consultants and coaches love to come up with clever formats (such as mnemonics & acronyms) for presenting information so that it is easy to remember and use in the field.

For some reason, the combination of three words all beginning with the letter "C" seem to keep cropping up. The "3 C's" grouping can cover a lot of territory, for example:

The 3 C's of the Marketing: Consumer/Company/Competition

The 3 C's of Measurement: Careful/Continual/Consistent

The 3 C's of Leadership: Challenge/Confidence/Coaching

The 3 C's of Prevention: Check/Control/Contain

The 3 C's of Teamwork: Connect/Collaborate/Create

The 3 C's of Self-Esteem: Capable/Connect/Contribute

The 3 C's of Credit: Cash Flow/Collateral/Character

The 3 C's of Knowledge Management: Content, Communication /Collaberation

and, of course, The 3 C's of Life:

NOTE: I couldn't leave this post without one of my favorite quotes from Walt Disney:

"Somehow I can't believe there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who
knows the secret of making dreams come true.

This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C's.

They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy and the greatest of these is Confidence. When you believe a thing, believe it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably."
